For any high-powered road car or race car a limited slip differential is essential. The best known by far is the Quaife ATB (Automatic Torque Biasing) differential.
A direct replacement for the original, it transfers traction from the wheel that is slipping to the one with grip, thus preventing traction loss.
The Quaife ATB is a firm favorite of ours and has been fitted to many of our customers' cars for both road and track.

Unlike our competitors who will order 1 differential at a time (leaving them in the hands of suppliers) we hold up to 30 differentials in stock for the VAG range, meaning most applications are available next day mail order or at a convienient time for fitting in our workshop.
A direct replacement for the standard Volkswagen open differential, the Quaife ATB differential transforms your car's performance.
Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the Quaife ATB differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation.
The Quaife ATB differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. Rather, the Quaife ATB differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constant varying degree, and never locks.

Gearbox Rebuilds
Second gear syncromesh in VAG gearboxes rarely stands up to the punishment it receives, especially in GTI models.
We offer a full rebuild exchange service on these units provided your existing gearbox is intact and rebuildable i.e. does not have a broken diff pin. We also offer full gearbox rebuilds on the entire VAG range of gearboxes, aswell as being able to fit limited slip differentials, again this is all done in house by our technicians who can handle the whole process from removal of the gearbox to rebuild and re-fit. TSR are familiar with the full range of VAG boxes from the 020 fitted to mk1 and 2 golfs up to the 02Q in mk5 and 6 GTI's.
